| Gun~N~Stock Kennels is owned and operated by Eric & Sherry Wood, who reside in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. We have owned and trained Labradors since 1993.
I recently went looking for a smaller companion dog and found my heart’s desire. I fell in love with the Miniature Australian Shepherd. In September 2005, I found a breeder in Idaho who taught me about the breed, training and feeding. The breeder, Jacque McHenry of RunAmok Farms and I hit it off so well, that I bought two dogs with plans of starting breeding program. We have been planning and working towards the opening of Gun~N~Stock Kennels for a little over a year. The official opening date of the kennels was January 1, 2007. |
| I began with the breeding of RunAmok Bittle Bugs, the second dog I purchased from RunAmok Farms. The planned event is to take place the first of May 2007.
I am excited about this litter; it has the potential to be all colors and some blue eyed puppies. I breed Bittle Bugs with Elijah Blue from Range Master’s in Oroville, CA. Bittle Bugs is an extremely athletic dog, with a huge love for ball chasing. When I get the time, I am going to explore “fly ball” with her, she seems like a great candidate for this sport. Her puppies are going to need an active partner to keep up, these will not be puppies who will sit at home and wait to curl up in your lap. They will need someone to exercise them daily. If you ever needed a motivator, to get you outside and doing more activities, these are the puppies for you. |
| I love to learn and teach, so I am always learning about dogs and want to share my skills with everyone. So I decided to train two gun dogs from “High Sierra Fargo’s” litter due in the Fall of 2007. Fargo will be breed to “Tucker King Cole” owned by Matt Cole of Citrus Heights, CA. Please take a look at Tucker’s page as well, he is a beautiful male.
The dogs will be for sale in the spring/summer of 2008, please let me know as soon as possible if your interested in owning one of these two dogs. |
| We also bought Zach, our son, his own puppy (Willow) who is going to be arriving in April of 2007. She will be trained by Zach, with the help from Eric and I. Willow will be Zach’s foundation dog. Zach has been learning with Fargo and is now ready for his own dog. Please check out this beautiful puppy on her own page. We will update pictures and progress.
Now, Kindra, our daughter, not being left out and Sherry not passing up an opportunity to have more puppies, we purchased another puppy from RunAmok farms. This little girl’s name is MissChievous; she will probably be called “Chiva” for short. Kindra wants to learn and I am always to willing to help, so we are growing by one more puppy. We will keep the web page updated with pictures and progress as well. Kindra hasn’t decided what she wants to do yet, Stock “herding” is fun, but then again so is agility. Keep checking back to see what she decides. |
| Now for Gun~N~Stock Bullet of RunAmok Farms, this puppy has not been produced yet. In fact is still months away, if not a year away. This puppy will be produced by breeding Twin Oaks Georgia Bridges and CH. Bold Legends Burning Embers at RunAmok. This breeding has huge potential; there are multiple champions in both lines. It is likely to produce several high quality dogs and even a few champions. Please check back for the arrival and anticipated accomplishments of this dog.
Now, for DreamCatcher, She started it all. I let Jacque pick out the puppy that she felt was the best for what I was wanting to accomplish, which was raise a foundation bitch, who could herd, do agility and be my best friend. Well, she did a great job, because DreamCatcher is all that and more. Check her out on her web page… I will be posting her graduation pictures from her obedience class very soon. She will be going on to her next class, in the early summer. |
